Well, I thought about upgrading before I found out about the price for the upgrade. Hence, I've yet to break even from my initial investment, but the referrals do contribute a lot, thus, I managed to receive my first payout in a month's time. I'm still undecided if I'll continue to rent referrals, or wait until I break even first before I rent a bigger pack.

If you just want to give Neobux a try, then by all means, go. Just be aware that it will take awhile before you can receive your first payout without the help of referrals. Approximately 200 clicks divided by 4 per day equals 50 days to your first cashout!

Getting Started - Dealing with Anti-Cheat System

It can get tedious, having to answer questions or decipher and write down obscured texts in between surfing the ads, but they are placed there for a reason - to fend off those scripting geniuses who ripped the owner and you of your rightful earnings.

There are several Anti-Cheat systems that are placed under effect, which you will encounter in most, if not all PTCs.

• The CAPTCHA system. It basically shows you either warped or noise-covered text to type in a designated box. A anti-cheat system targeted at autobots who logged in automatically to the site.
• The TIMER system. This is basically the most often found on sites. The timer counts down, shows you a set of numbers, and require you to click the number specified.
  
• The CHEAT CHECK system. Shows up in between ads during surf time or before showing you the ad. Questions can range from simple ones such as "Which is a color" or "What is the support forum of *site*". Doesn't really require you to know much about the site, but its always a good idea to familiarize yourself with every site you join in. Furthermore, this is sometimes used in conjunction with the timer system.
• The CLICK BUTTON system. The link is there for you to click and you think that how come this site seemed to be unprotected from cheat bots, guess again. As soon as you click the link, a small button shows up on the banner. You have to click that small button that randomly shows up within the banner space in order for the ad to show. Simple, yet effective.
• The PICK THE PICTURE system. Its similar to the TIMER system, but instead of digits, you will be given a set of pictures with the simple instruction of clicking the upside down one.
• The CHEAT LINK BANNER system. You seriously learn to read whatever you click as often times, these banners are mixed in the ad list and email lists.

Getting Started - How to Register and Earn on PTC Sites

If you read my previous entry, then you won't have trouble following the instructions specified here.

1. At any given site, you have to first off register. Most, if not all sites, limit registration one (1) per IP address. Meaning, if you want more than one account, you have to own several computers with different IP addresses. Thus, its not advisable to go and create a hundred and one account.
2. After registration comes verification. Some sites will email welcome messages, others don't. For those that just simply says "account registration successful", you can very well proceed to step 4, but for those who shows activation code, proceed to step 3.
3. Check your email, and most especially your spam folder as often than not, these welcome emails has the bad habit of being considered as spam. You can either to chose to a.) click on the activation link, or b.) copy and paste the activation code on the website, together with your desired username, and hit submit. And there you have it, your account is ready to earn.
4. Upon logging in, you'd be directed either to the home page or your account page. One of the things you should visit first off is the account page. Under preferences, choose yes to turn on paid emails. It may not be a lot, but paid emails can help you reach the minimum payout.
5. Proceed to the earning page. Different sites have different ways of crediting your activities. To make it a whole lot simpler, here are the ways for your account to be credited in PTCs: a.) site counts down and then automatically credits your views by displaying either "done" or "account credited 0.0XXX", b.) by counting down and asking you to either "remove frame" or "click on the button", and c.) by showing you a bunch of numbers or pictures and asking you to click the number specified or the picture that's been placed upside down. All links open on new windows and under no circumstance should you open everything at the same time. Ads should be viewed one at a time.
   
6. Finishing up with PTCs, some sites also offer PTRs, so you better take note of that. Almost everything is similar to PTCs except that when you click on a link, you'll be taken to a page where you basically wait for the timer, click on the "Proceed --->" button, and you'd find yourself in the familiar environment of PTCs.
7. Once you're done earning, always check your account balance. You may also capture the screen with the date when the screen capture was taken in case of account dispute.
8. And then, log-out.
   
9. Wait 24 hours, and the cycle starts again!

Congratulations! You've successfully registered and taken your first step in earning online!

Acronym Guide to Earning Online

Just a quick guide for those who find trouble understanding the different acronyms.

PTC - Literally stands for Pay-to-Click. It usually used for clicking ads and banners

PTR - Paid-to-Read, usually for email programs

GPT - Get-Paid-to requires you to perform certain activities before you get payment

Aurora Sites - Sites that don't have fixed rate per ad

PTP - Paid-to-Promote are incentives to earn through promoting your referral link. It's a two-way road, you earn from unique visits on a 24-hr period, plus a possible referral if they signed up under you

PTJ/PTSU - Paid-to-Join or Paid to Sign-Up is one way site owners can get referrals for their own PTC account earnings by giving you an incentive to join a particular site they are endorsing

CPM - Cost per 1,000 impression usually pertains wherein an advertiser pays a certain amount for a thousand unique impressions/views

Alertpay

Similar to Paypal, Alertpay is another third party website that allows you to receive and send money online in a secure fashion. Some PTC sites require you to have both accounts, so it's always a good idea to create one.

This site however is not localized, thus, if you don't have a US bank account, bank wire is at $15.00, but you can always opt to have a check delivered to your country for $4.00. The choice is up to you, but its always a good idea to have a back-up account for your Paypal.

To start earning online, you first have to own an online account. It's a rare occurrence that a site will mail you a check for all your earnings, so its your best move to open a Paypal account. Simply click on the link above to register for a free account. You can choose to avail of a Personal, Premiere or Business account depending on your preference and don't forget to verify your account. There are a lot of fraudulent people out there who use/create bogus Paypal accounts. Thus, it's not only for the advantage of the online business you get into, but also for your own. Besides, a Paypal account is not only good for earning, it helps you shop online in a safe and secure environment.
